Welcome to Juneau County Housing Authority.

Our mission is to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income families. We are dedicated to building stronger communities by creating housing opportunities that promote stability, dignity, and quality of life.

Eligibility

Applicants must be at least 62 years of age, or handicapped, or disabled to qualify for our senior living accommodations.

Family housing is available in 2 buildings.  Occupants do need to income qualify and be approved.

To begin the process, an application must be completed and certified as eligible by the Property Manager. If you are deemed eligible, your name will be added to the waiting list along with the date we received your completed application.

Building Information

At Juneau County Housing Authority, we focus on comfort and accessibility with our ground-level apartments that eliminate stairs.

Each unit is furnished with essential appliances such as a stove and refrigerator, carpeting and drapes/blinds. Experience the convenience of our on-site coin-operated laundry facility and easy inside mail delivery.
*Bluff Aire ll (family housing building) mail boxes are outside, on premises,  stairs are inside. 
*Stoney Hill Court in Wonewoc, does not have mail delivery (postal service will not deliver to this building).

Utilities

Included Utilities:

  • Heat
  • Hot water
  • Sewer
  • Garbage pick-up

Tenants are responsible for are:

  • Electric
  • Television hook-up
  • Telephone
     
    Please note: We do have a utility allowance that is subtracted from the monthly rent.

Rent & Security Deposit

Rent is based on 30% of your adjusted gross income.
For elderly and/or disabled applicants  total gross income minus any eligible medical expenses that you pay out of pocket.

For Family rent is based on 30% of your gross income.

HUD Subsidized Apartments

One Bedroom:
Differs based on market rates and client income.

Security Deposit: Equal amount to their Total Tenant Payment (30% of your adjusted gross income)

Rural Development Apartments

Rent for One Bedroom:
differs based on market rates and client income.
Call for more information

Rent for Two Bedroom:
differs based on market rates and client income.
Call for more information

Security Deposit: $400

Pet Policy

One pet per apartment is allowed.
If you choose to have a pet a separate $400 pet deposit is required.

HUD Subsidized Apartments

Maximum Income for One Person Occupancy: $48,550

Maximum Income for Two Person Occupancy: $55,450

Rural Development Apartments

Maximum Income for One Person Occupancy: $54,050

Maximum Income for Two Person Occupancy: $60,950

Maximum Income for Three Person Occupancy: $67,900

Maximum Income for Four Person Occupancy: $74,800
